The silence of the elite in Ghana for the Kangaroo Court like decision to remove this CJ, especially the judicial fraternity, is fatal.. What has happened to this CJ is reminiscent of the mindset of a clique within this political faction, the NDC which resulted in the shameful execution of three justices in cold blood at Bondade during the PNDC era. The standard of malfeasance ( evidence?) used to justify the dropping of the guillotine on the neck of this CJ is far lower than what most in the political faction NDC , have committed during their stewardships since 1992. It is very unfortunate that President John Dramani Mahama and his accountability Saints would avoid their reflections in the mirror and fall for the seduction of political retribution to remove this CJ from office. History has not been kind to the elites who stood by while the politicians were setting wrong precidents. When Emperor Nero’s latent disease which afflicts politicians become active , they will see the chickens coming home to roost!!! Also, only in banana republics can a president sack the chief justice and instate one that is loyal to himself. It's an absolute travesty.

To avoid unchecked abuse of power, impeachment should be the only way you can remove a chief justice.
