The Chief Justice office demands the highest level of integrity and neutrality regardless of who appointed you. But that was not the case under Justices Anim Yeboah and Gertrude Torkornoo. At a point the office drew the infamous nickname unanimous FC. Gertrude sins were many but she would be remembered for putting up the fastest panel for Afenyo Markins against the speaker of parliament in the Supreme Court.
Her removal through a constitutional provision should remind all of us (including the incoming CJ and the government), that positions and power are transient
