  If that will bring peace and prevent violence I think it's cool and recommendable but same energy should be channel to few of the unrest regions to arrest the few stubborn ones causing fear and panic

I think we all oberserved the peaceful nature of the elections even though some notorious political activist tried to disturb the peace outside the polling stations.
