If we assume DSTV earns an average of GHS 200 per subscription monthly, and about 15 years ago they had 10,000 subscribers, their monthly revenue would have been 10,000 × 200 = GHS 2,000,000. At present, their subscriber base is certainly larger than 10,000. From a business perspective, it is logical for them to maintain the current subscription levels. By September 15, they would have already generated substantial revenue, giving them the flexibility to consider reducing subscription fees afterward.
