The 1000 troops the Akwamuhene sent to Kumasi helped a lot and those living in Adum Kumasi which used to be called Anum and Asafo Kumasi are all descendants of the Akwamu people. That’s why Ashantis have a title called the Akwamuhene- a very powerful role . The Asafohene and Adumhene both in Kumasi are all originally from Akwamu. Well told story . Very consistent indeed.
