I disagree with the president and the exporters, my question is when the cedi was weak that promoted their exports what was the impact on the economy did it reduce petrol prices or reduced lorry fares? But when the cedi appreciated we saw reductions in goods and services so which of the two is s better appreciation of the cedi or exports? Pls let the cedi appreciate to relieve Ghanaians of hardship

The Cedi depreciation under the immediate past NPP administration could be attributed to the impact of Covid and other external shocks that was difficult to control. On the other hand, the NDC administration, without any external shocks is supervising the fastest rate of Cedi depreciation Ghana has ever seen. This is similar to the dumsor era when, without any external shocks like pandemic, Ghana suffered persistent electricity outages for over four years, which collapsed several businesses. Vote wisely the next time!!!

I do not know if the president understands what nominal and actual value terms means.Before , a Ghanaian exporter would have to export 16million wealth of Ghanaian produce to earn 1million USD.Today that same exporter is exporting less Ghanaian produce (12million)to earn the same value 1million dollars and vice versa.Is the president making any economic sense.well I wouldn't blame him much since he is not an economist.
