Look at the NSS scandal where even 80 yrs old and babies were added to draw salary. Look the outrageous scholarships given in pounds to the affluent. Galamsey was endorsed at the party level. For 8 years our water bodies were polluted indiscriminately. So please give us a break.
Since Mahama came into power things are moving in the right direction; no fees stress, nurses half fees, improvement of SHS, various payments to contractors, bond holders, etc. Cedi has appreciated. So far so good.

JDM said on record that he would grant amnesty to those arrested in connection with galamsey. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said they would train galamsey operators how to mine without destroying the environment. We saw videos of the NDC campaign team at galamsey sites promising they would allow them to continue their operations when they win power. In a nut shell, all the noise about galamsey task force was nothing but 'Settings' and people with foresight knew it would soon come to an end. All those happened while the so-called CSOs, journalists, and opinion leaders watch on without condemning it. JDM is facing severe resistance than he can handle because he gave his promise, and the boys in the forests are holding him to his word by force. NDC has made it almost impossible for any government to fix galamsey because they succeeded in politicizing it when Akufo-Ado declared war on galamsey.

It's a common knowledge that excessive import is one root problem for the wide fluctuations. What items do we import? A critical examination of the imports will show that we can cut some of them out. Self-sufficiency in food can be achieved if only we stop eye service and get serious. If Burkina Faso, with harsher weather conditions, can do well in tomato production, why can't we do it? Set targets for all regional ministers for food production. If they're unable to make it, they will have to give way to ministers that are productive. Sustainability in food production can go a long way to give the country food security and cushion the economy of the country against global economic shocks.

Rawlings went after the late Atta-Mills for threading lightly on all the bribery, corruption, mismanagement, misappropriation, stealing under Kufour's administration. But as I read on the extent of criminal activity of the Kufour era I came to understand that the "asomdwe hene" "dzi wofie asem" Atta-Mills would end up emboldening a corrupt and evil-prone NPP in place to do more harm to Ghana in the years to come.
