  The airlines won’t let people board without visa.
  There was a time when people can board airlines without visa and get visa on arrival but the vampires changed that and without visa/special visa on arrival permits the airlines don’t allow travelers to board.
  These are real issues that need to be addressed.
  Many people who are busy travelers don’t have time to send their passports to DC for visa and wait 10 days to get it.
  People should be able to spontaneously decide they are going to Ghana and go without all the hindrances.
  If we want to promote tourism and get people coming to visit our country and attend our summits we have to stop the airlines from checking visas and making visa on arrival the norm, that Mr Minister will help the country.

  Allowing diaspora summit guests to travel to Ghana visa-free is most ridiculous and bone-headed statement coming from a country that is perenially in dire financially state. Countries see visa fees as a revenue stream. I cannot understand why Ghanaian officials are too stupid to realize that they can generate revenue from visa fees to fund tourism infrastructure.

The Ghanaian will chop small today without realizing they chopped off a potential revenue stream. You want your small money upfront, not realizing you are slamming shut every window and back door where money was planning to enter. So sad.

  I'm utterly dismayed to hear that despite all the noise we make, we still demand visas from our brothers and sisters of the big African Diaspora. Ablakwa should sit up, talk less and deliver. While at it, the definition of who is a foreigner should be revised. Welcoming 'brothers and sisters' and charging them as foreigners in museums and other sites is simply scandalous, if those in charge don't know. Walk the talk!!
