UTAG membership are stupid fools, GTEC leadership are a bunch of stupid idiots and the lawyers handling the matter in court are no different. Ask for the judge I won't say anything.

Instead of asking the current VC, who is already set to vacate his post for peace to prevail, they are playing the fool. Why are they matching to Accra to attach GTEC? I am surprised at the behaviour of UTAG UCC on this decision. How did they arrive at this? The guy is sixty years old; he should pack and go for peace to prevail.

Consider this: the man stays on illegally. Why don't you punish him and those who can ensure his exit, but rope in everyone, including the innocent bystander (staff and students) when it's not their responsibility to drive the VC out? Does this make sense?

These are reasons why both of you, KF and Jay, are wrong on all accounts:

1. The courts are where issues are settled especially when the law happens to constitutional or LI passed by government into law

2. GTEC does not have unchecked oversight authority to remove accreditation from a university nor withhold paychecks for staff because of a legal issue pending resolution in a recognized court.

3. GTEC does not have any authority to withhold paychecks for staff who have completed mandatory labour hours of a period neither is there a law in Ghana that affirms punishment on the innocent just by association.

4. GTEC to date has not provided a decision by any court, lower or appellate level, that authorizes anyone to set aside pending action from a judge who is yet to rule on the case.

5. What GTEC must do is either wait to hear from the Cape Coast court or file an injunction at the Supreme Court seeking enforcement of the retirement act upon UCC.

Until the case is finalized by the courts, GTEC must find its level as an agency that operates within government.

In UCC all retirement dates are unified at 31st July, irrespective of your date of birth. If one hits 60 before 31st July in a particular year, the retirement date is rolled to 31st July that same year. On the other hand if a person turns 60 after 31st July, his retirement date is rolled over to 31st July the following year. The VC turned 60 in September, 2025 and therefore, he is entitled to a roll over to retire on 31st July, 2026. GTEC appears ignorant of this operational rule in UCC and is asking the VC to retire prior to 31st July, 2026?

Is he the only wisest person in Ghana? Clearly, the VC is power drunk and must be kicked out of office. His hesitance to leave office after 60 years is sickening and may imply that he has some dirt in his closet that requires more time to clean. When a black man tastes power, he doesn't mind to sacrifice his dignity for stay on it. The government must kick him out of the office. The UCC VC is a shameless being who has no conscience.
