  The excuse of youth unemployment as the basis of unrelenting galamsey is a lame duck one. There are no records anywhere which shows that our economy was once upon a time, fully employed meaning we always have unemployed Ghanaians out there.
  
  Foolishness is rather fueling the galamsey menace and we need drastic and no-nonsense approach to stop it because our lives are at stake. We cannot love money and destroy our environment which keeps us alive.
