That is a testament to how well his country is governed versus the hell-hole you call Ghana. In other words, he isnt thinking about drinking galamsey-tainted foods and water, he isn't thinking about what he will eat tomorrow. He isnt thinking about how he will pay his bill tomorrow. His concerns about life aren't as dire as the average Ghanaian, hence his desire to fulfill the dying wish of his wife.

Meanwhile, in Ghana, there is Asantehene who's engaged in galamsey, destroying the peoples' lives and livelihood. Worse, he says he is above our constitution but powerless to stop galamsey. Guess what! The chiefs of the Volta Region, who don't claim any superiority, have outlawed galamsey in their territories. Our political leaders, both the NPP and the NDC, are neckdeep in galamsey, hence leaders of both parties speaking from both sides of the stinky mouths.

Anyway, I hate to say I detest anybody. Having said that, I detest Ashantis who choose to worship a thief. I understand that chief and thief are separated by one-letter, but they sure don't mean the same thing. How is Ghana supposed to move forward when a segment of our society worships a crook who has been banned from Canada? Yes, your overlord is a crook who has been banned from Canada.

In case you are blinded by your self-perceived superiority, no chief in Ghana has been banned by a foreign country, save for Asantehene.

What frustrates me is that Asantehene has the biggest voice to steer our leaders in the right direction. But what is he doing? He has girlfriends in many places. He has mansions in South Africa, UK, Maryland, etc.,--meaning if the country falls apart, he can just leave. Let me ask you a question, since you are so incensed by obvious truths: 1) When Asantehene issued curfews when his mother and sister passed away, did an insect even disobey him? 2) Did you believe him when he said he was not subject to the laws of the land because he was above the constitution? 3) Did you believe him when he said the power to arrest galamsey was with the federal government because he was powerless to do so? 4) Are you aware that the chiefs of the Volta Region have outlawed galamsey in their entire region, though, nationally, they don't wield the sort of power Asantehene claims for himself? 5) If you aren't plagued by nonsensical thoughts, would you conclude that Asantehene is inferior to the chiefs of the Volta Region since they have done what he claims he cant do?

In the meantime, children are being born deformed, people are showing up to hospitals with kidney and other problems. And the wicked Asantehene claims he is powerless to act.

I didnt only implicate Asantehene and out traditional chiefs in the galamsey menace but our politicians in both parties as well. Yet, it is only an inward-looking Ashanti who would respond with insults.

And you assume I'm not an Ashanti because I'm telling the truth about Asantehene?

In the North, the Dagomba were also involved during the pre-colonisation period.From
Whiddah in Dahomey to Apollonia close to the border with Ivory Coast, local chiefs and prominent merchants were engaged in the slave trade. Go to the Portuguese, Danish, British, French, etc historical archives and bring out one documentary evidence on the transfer or sale of human beings by the Ashanti. You can come back and salute Ashanti for standing strong against the practice and for fighting the Akwamu and all the tribes involved. Are there forts in Ayigbeland today? What were they built for? Go to Ashanti to look for ruins of a slaveholding castle and I swear to God, you won’t find any. Do a little research and the names of Gold Coast Slave Merchants, some of their descendants still active in our politics will come out.
