  All these declarations will fizzle into nothing if the government does not put the economy on sound footing to withstand international economic shocks. The government so far is not showing vigour in implementing innovative ideas to solve our economic and social challenges. Instead, we are bombarded with too much talking and less doings. When the time for more borrowing comes, Haruna Idrisu will forget that he said those words condemning excessive borrowing.
