  All what we need is the cedi value the current rate is high it makes life difficult for Ghanaians let the cedi appreciate to a single digit, neglect the so called exportersand the useless AGI, their export hasn't reduced fuel prices but the appreciation does that so which of the two is better, when the cedi was appreciating some useless entities were against that, when imports are cheap it brings relief to the people now cedi has stop appreciating AGI is exporting what is the benefit? has patrol prices reduce? When goods and services are affordable it creates jobs, pls our useless leaders should reason a bit

  My confused nation. We need the gold so badly to help with the appreciation of the cedi. Most of the gold comes from the small scale miners, most of whom are illegal miners( in fact the galamsayers produce more gold than the legal ones). We complain about the destruction of our environment due to galamsay activities. We need the galamsay dollars to raise the value of the cedi to get prices down, but the same galamsay guys who bring in the gold dollars are the most hated guys in town. Funny country!

  It is not one month magic or two months, it needs to be deliberate and sustained for 2 years, then people will sell the US Dollars that they are hoarding at their homes. We have more US Dollars in Ghana than any country in Africa, all are waiting for the Cedi to depreciate against the Dollar, then they will sell, to defeat that BOG needs to sell more US Dollars and maintain it, which will help the Cedi to appreciate.
