If the petitioner can cause injunction on his appointment as substantive chief justice, I think this would have been better. Anyway, this is my humble opinion.

This NPP party will never grow up. They are too petty to take the country’s problems seriously. Torkornoo was openly biased against the NDC and even some NPP members admit it so her removal was right. The NPP feels because their women’s organising secretary was removed, it also has to cause the removal of the current acting CJ. They don’t even care about the mess they caused and how much the country is currently suffering from that. This is the reason why the criminals amongst them must never be go unpunished, to serve as a deterrent for any future attempt to sabotage the country.

I have a lot of sympathy for the NDC because of Rawlings but I have never voted for them, and neither have I voted for the NPP. Yes I am critical of the NPP because I believe when we have elected our leaders, we should allow them to get on with business and not to undermine them. The NPP is clearly trying to undermine the government and make it unpopular. They never seem to be positive about what the government does given actually they messed up a lot. Wait till the NDC messes up, I will also turn on them. I love this country like you do, but I also try to be as non political as possible and support any government we elect until they start making too may mistakes. I think we should allow be less political as possible. This will allow us to assess if our government, irrespective of party, is making the right decisions for our country. Politicians have failed the country so we need to be vigilant about what they do and say.

Those who lack understanding can't reason properly. Presidents or governments don't take pleasure in sacking a CJ unless they have reason to believe they can't trust him/her. This was why Akufo Addo treated a petition he received against Justice Torkornoo as thrash – he has no reason to mistrust her. To Akufo Addo, it was not whether or not the then CJ did something wrong or not as claimed by the petitioner but rather he had confidence in her. But obviously, the former CJ's situation is not the same with President Mahama hence her sacking.
It's therefore childish to think that because President Mahama sacked CJ Torkornoo in response to a petition, he will do the same when another petition is submitted against the current acting CJ. Whether justice Baffow-Bonnie has done something wrong or not is no reason for the president to sack him as long as the president has confidence in him.
In this regard, it's just a matter of time when parliament reopens and he will be approved and confirmed as the substantive CJ.
