  foolish gh leaders. go to western nations. they rely on private public investment to build their roads and put tolls. why cant you do the same in ghana? because the leaders will chop the private investment dollars. the contractors will chop the monies and no work will be done. they the govt will leave and the new govt will be fighting the foreign investors in court or the foreign investors will take their losses and leave and tell others. now look, who do you blame if ghana is underdeveloped?

  Australian State Governments don't fund their main artial roads or freeways ,the funding is done by Contractors called Transurban...they build QUALITY freeways ,design, construct and deliver on budget and on time.Ghana could never do that not in a million years.Just look at the bloody mess they have created from the Suame roundabout,to Markro .It will take years to do this section of freeway..even now it's 2 years to get where they are now.....NO IDEA.
  TRANSURBAN WOULD BE ALMOST FINISH THIS SECTION....ON TIME AND ON BUDGET
  THEY (TRANSURBAN) COLLECT TOLLS TO GET PAID FOR THEIR WORK OVER 20 YEARS...BUT COSTS THE GOVERNMENT NOTHING.
  THIS PROJECT FROM SUAME TO MARKRO SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN STARTED, AS THERE WAS NO FUNDING TO PAY FOR IT.!!!!!

  They only coughed up 20% of money owed ,how a contractor can maintain to stay in business is beyond me.I know most of the debt was an NPP issue ,who were just plain useless at anything they did...The Government has 37 tons ...

In Technical terms that is the correct way of building at least 30 years long lasting, quality,cost effective,value for money and anti- corrupted and user affordable Roads using procurement model called Public- private partnerships(PPPs type BOOT)! UK, Canada, Australia and Singapore are global leaders in PPP . In Africa, Egypt, South Africa and Nigeria are the only 3 nations forging ahead with the PPP in the Road Sector! And at least 60% of their national roads are paved and well maintained. While in Ghana only 27% are paved with little or no regular maintenance and since year 2000 no government is interested in using the PPP Model of procurement.They want short-term 4year solutions intead of longterm plans!This is one reason fuelling corruptions in the Road Sector where sole contracts with inflated contract sums are given out but not meant to be commenced or completed! Even the Arab nations like Qatar,Saudi Arabia,UAE where the oil and gas dollars are in abundance are turning to the PPP way for major infrastructure projects! How did Qatar achieved the outstanding superperformance and successful 2022 world Cup hosting? How did South Africa did it in 2010? - PPP!
