Churches and church leaders more than ever before need to be careful of who donates cash or goods or does them a favour because IF IT IS NOT OF GOD IT WILL COME BACK TO BITE HARD and leave the Church in turmoil and its witness and influence diminished. This is why it is also extremely important to only embark on programmes and projects which have been directed by the Lord rather than by the egos of men.
Church be wary of who gives you help or money because sometimes the motive is to allow them to be able to exert influence on your affairs which in many cases are at variance with the PRIMARY MISSION OF THE CHURCH. THE FUNDAMENTAL MISSION OF THE CHURCH IS TO GLORIFY GOD AND CHRIST AND PROPAGATE THE GOSPELOF SALVATION.
God is well able to provide for ventures that He has instigated or put in the hearts of His people, and He often does this through the sacrifice and donations of His obedient and loving children. He in turn blesses them for their offerings of Love. God's work in the Church is a collaborative exercise but let's not confuse that with the kind of big budget headline grabbing, ego serving programmes that are often embarked upon in the name of a Holy God.
During the Covid Pandemic we saw a very clear demonstration of God's priorities- VIRTUALLY ALL THE BIG BUDGET IMPRESSIVE PROGRAMMES AND PLACES OF WORSHIP WERE SHUT DOWN YET WE SAW THE WORD OF GOD CONTINUE TO SPREAD AND MANY TURN TO THE LORD IN SPITE OF ALL THESE.
May we all have hearts that listen closely and attentively to what the God of Heaven is saying during these spiritually perilous times.
THE SAFETS ROUTE IS TO STAY ALIGNED WITH THE WILL OF GOD WHICH MAY TAKE LONGER THAN WHAT HUMANS EXPECT.
