Mr. Minister! The truth is you and your boss did no proper work with respect to professional due delegence, value for money and affordability! You signed an over - bloated, inflated and pricy contracts in Mahamas 1st term! And how on earth would one sign a thermal power generation contract in US dollars ,fuel was not included in rates while customers pay in cedis! Besides None of those contracts should NEVER has lasted more than 5 years! The capital cost of investments have all been paid for after 5 years and VRA should have taken ownership of all the IPPs and generate power for Ghanaians! Why was Ameri power ownership taken over by VRA ghana after 5 years while Asogli, Cent power and others are not treated same way! How much was VRA generating thermal power during Atta Mills time prior to the IPPs coming on board? What % of technical generation loss via Gridco transmission lines deducted from IPPs? ECG indebtedness to IPPs is partly due to your failure to professionally negotiate good contracts with the IPPs!
