Mr Sory is one hundred percent right. It is baffling to observe that certain people from a particular region in the country, and who simply don’t have the ability and capability to be called lawyers, have been called to the Bar in order to maintain a “ balanced ratio” set by Nkrumah so many years ago. Many of these people now belong to a particular political group. It’s just baffling and unbelievable.

It must take only the exam to be called to the Bar. People should have the option to do self study and write the bar exams. In Uk, you don’t need a law degree to become a solicitor. Once you have a degree, and you can study on your own and pass the exam, you qualified. We should not force people to go to law school. There are people who have worked several years in law firms and their experience is far more than an LLB holder. Let them write the exams, if they pass, call them to the Bar.

Then there are so many different bar exams and no exams at all to preach the Bible outside the main stream religions. Now, it is clear. Indeed China which is the fastest growing economy doesn't have these numerous lawyers stealing and wasting money needed to develop industries and other essentials. All of them are using some gymnastics to manipulate and destroy development. That's why China is developing and here being manipulated by have baked professionals. We need a few likes of Thad Sory and the rest should do productive things. Law education can not help Ghana. Any idiots able to bribe the judges, or in tge president's side calls himself a lawyer. When someone is going to law school lectures he should come and inform you. Nsemhunu. How many people attend classes for law school in the US. We always want to complicate things in Ghana instead of focusing on quality.
