The very people you sacrifice for, go through hell to help will quickly forget all the help you gave them, your sacrifices, your efforts. They will turn on you, curse you, speak ill of you, blame you for their own bad choices or obstinacy, backbite you and even wish you ill.
IT IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER WHAT I CALL THE 1 IN 10 PRINCIPLE OF GRATITUDE -For every 10 people you help only about one will show enduring gratitude.
It is vital to remember that while having a generous Spirit will always yield a reward for the giver THE REWARD RARELY COMES FROM THE VERY PEOPLE YOU HELPED. Often God touches the hearts other people, including complete strangers to be good to you. SO, STOP GETTING UPSET ABOUT THE INGRATITUDE OF PEOPLE YOU HELPED IN THE PAST. Those who borrowed money and never paid you back, those you helped when they were in trouble but no longer remember you.
Remember that INGRATITUDE ALSO ATTRACTS ITS OWN KIND OF FRUIT IN DUE SEASON. Life has a way of correcting people selfish and ungrateful people so please relax and get on with your life.
Just continue to live a life of excellence and integrity and you will continue to enjoy the favour of God. Keep doing the right thing. Don't stop being good to those who genuinely need your help and let God fight your battles, let Him be your vindicator, Let God handle your bad-mouthers, critics and haters. And always pray for discernment in ALL your human interactions. I am assuming that you know the God of Heaven as laid out in the Gospel of Christ.
