  Ghanaians are so much fascinated with the accolades :...."first to do this -- first to do that..." etc., yet we still remain last in almost every thing. What have we been able to achieve as a nation with all these "first to this, first to do that..thing"? We have produced some good brains from Legon, UST, no doubt, yet after 68 years of independence, we are still wallowing in abject poverty, uncontrollable corruption, despair and destitute among the ordinary citizenry. Those who acquired the best knowledge, instead of helping steer the country forward, are rather using their knowledge to steal, defend those who steal, or grab whatever they can get from the nation's kitty like there is no tomorrow. God Save Us!
