My uncle was a Police Officer at Osu and I used to visit him and spend a lot of time at their Barracks. Those days, Police on duty inspected if every passing vehicle had those Triangular signs that were put in the road to warn on coming Drivers of a Disabled Vehicle that was being worked on. Those days, even passing vehicles were inspected for Tools Boxes. Now it looks like we are living in the jungle and nothing seems to work. Let us put our hostile political differences aside and work together as Human Beings to Make Ghana Work Right Now. We have fooled around and along for far too long.

It is because there are no alternatives. In Accra if you live in the outskirts like Adenta and work in Accra you will realize how important the sprinters are to the economy. They ferry about 90% of the commercial and administrative workforce. Without them the Ghanaian economy simply cannot run. Until we have better transport system in place, the government needs to train the drivers and ensure they abide by traffic regulations.

I guess we should contact the Developed Countries where the ignition of a vehicle will not work if a Driver has a certain amount of Alcohol in his system. Even when the Driver gets someone to start the vehicle for him, the vehicle will automatically shut down and stop the very moment the Driver starts breathing behind his steer. In Uncle Sam’s country, this is done for all Drivers who are Alcoholics and have been arrested on DUI charges for more than two times.
In the Developed Countries, Drug and Alcohol Tests are even done at workplaces. Yes, and the Supervisors can easily and randomly pick people for Alcohol Test. Those tests are monitored from the Headquarters of the company. Test Positive and you are fired and it can stay on your Record for up to Twenty or even more years.Why can’t we get home safely from behind the Steering Wheel at the end of the day and drink a whole barrel of APII to destroy our Internal Organs to show how stupid we are?
Really, Drivers who do so under the Influence should not be Fined but given Prison Sentences of over Five Years. Take them off the road and community for a period of time. Make our roads safe.

The unfortunate thing is can we get honest officials to do such testings. I am a total Ghanaian and very much aware of how corrupt our system is. The Testing Officers will just take some few Cedis and let them drive away. We are just too corrupt to make things work correctly. The Ghanaian will just take bribes and tell the Drivers Drive safely. God be with you on your way. We are just horrible dishonest people.

1. A cutlass
2. A mob and its bucket
3. Washi g powder, or detergent
4. Disinfectant, dettol, etc
5. Duster
6. Rake/hole
7. Insecticide mosquito spray
8. And many more

And surprisingly the children are made to use their own washing powder whenever they do cleanings. This is repeated every year for new comers.
My question to the minister is WHERE DO THESE ITEMS GO?
The Minister should stop this diabolic extortions immediately and carry out an audit on the items collected.

I am sick and tired of we we the people always blaming government or government authorities for doing basics for us but we the people can’t use common sense. I see drivers drunk driving passenger cars and the passengers said nothing. I see drivers over speeding and passengers said nothing, I have witness passenger been humiliated by the multiple in a van because he single handily advised a driver to slow down because of inappropriate driving maneuver. I have driven on this road many times and there is always some idiotic drivers carelessly taking unscrupulous passing. So sad to see so many Spintex buses and Toyota passengers vans with no moral compass and the passengers in those vans also have no guts to tell their drivers to stop such act of speeding and wrong maneuvers. What is wrong with us- I am very upset with so many accidents. This is no government issue - it’s the stupidity of our drivers on the road period.

I suggest, perdistran crossing need to be done as soon as possible.
We don't need much money to do the project. We need colour paint the perdistran cross. 2
Then create normal flashing colour pole both opposite ways in order to pay attention to the crossers. Very disastrous. Just normal pole with flashing. Any sensible driver will stop for them to cross
