Just a few months ago when a Korean descendant who lived and schooled all but four years of childhood life in Ghana was appointed ambassador to S. Korea we were up in arms with that appointment. Not even recognizing the jobs and economic opportunities this single individual had contributed to Ghana.

However, when a person is born in a foreign land to Ghanaian parents and becomes successful, we hail the person as one of us.

Ghanaians must eschew this hypocrisy/denial and open their minds to a global world!
