This would create a controlled environment, enabling law enforcement to address the mob that inevitably gathers near the police station. But the community leaders need to be engaged on a regular basis to drive home the dire effects illegal mining has on the people, their health and survival. Also a major agricultural program needs to target theses communities, also the former presidents one district one factory agenda should be visited. The key is create alternative livelihoods for them.

This is a disgrace to the NDC, the government, and the entire country! How can a sitting MP and a national board member behave this way?

He has embarrassed the President, the party, and the good people he represents. He must be removed from the NIB Board immediately!

I also call on the Right Honourable Speaker of Parliament to take disciplinary action against him for bringing the dignity of Parliament into disrepute. No lawmaker should ever act above the law.

The agricultural sector (which should be modernized to absorb the excess labor force) is mute and one hardly hear of any policy announcements from that sector.
