Check it both Collins Dauda and the Asutifi North MP are NDC supporters. It used to be NPP MPs these guys have taken over. Why can't they be prosecuted and imprisoned?

I am sure after this experience the Director of Naimos will sit down, study the terrain and begin to understand what is really happening.

There are so many issues connected with Galamsey. Now that it is clear as to know who are behind that should clearly tell you the real kingpins involved.

Also lack of employment has a big role in encouraging galamsey. This aspect will be very difficult to curb because ordinary workers at galamsey sites are paid much much better than graduate teachers in private schools.

For instance they are paid between GHC 500- GHC 1,000 daily (not monthly). Meanwhile some graduate teachers in these galamsey areas are paid a mere GHC 600 - GHC 1,500 monthly.

No industry can therefore employ these galamsey guys because of their lifestyle and money they have been exposed to. Typically a netman earns between GHC 600- GHC 700 per day.

Meanwhile these are the breadwinners of the family and the kingpins are those creating employment in these areas in the absence of the government's inability to create industries in these areas.

What makes matters worse is that the same government arresting them purchases their products. So who are we deceiving?
