  Everready in the cause of Ghana and Africa. When one organize events as big as this one, it is most likely that there will be some mishap.
  It is for the organizers to be prepared beforehand, to prevent the unfortunate.
  There was a strike demonstration in the early 1990 by the workers of the construction company Bilfinger and Berger, in which some workers who threw stone at the police, who were invited in to control the demonstration workers shot the legs of some of the workers.
  In the first place some of the officers from where I worked should have gone there early, to cool down both parties, the police and workers.
  Whenever workers are on demonstration and they see security men with guns, they will also take stones or stone chips as a weapon of defence.
  Knowing that when I heard the first shop, I rushed to the place the demonstration was taking place to save lives.
  I know the danger the workers might as well pose to the police, which I don't want to mention here.
  So it was one of those days on which I put myself in danger. I russed in between the workers and the police with my hands up. I shouted don't shoot to the police. To the workers I said don't throw stones.
  It was like I being some Demon descending from Hell. Both parties froze.
  I saw the workers throwing the stones on the road opposite the Holy Spirit Cathedral, and to the police I said hang your guns please.
  The Demon descended from Hell and have restored sanity.
  The military is an institution controlled by hierarchy, but within the civil service, when there is danger it's the person who can control the situation that matters.
  A retired air force technician narrated an incident which would have resulted in the helicopter in which he was a member of the crew. He said that in the mist of the incident with the helicopter, his commanding officer who was the pilot lost total control of the helicopter to prevent if from crashing.
  At that moment, only his initiative that amount to a misconduct saved the lives of the three of them who were on the helicopter.
  He slapped the pilot and ordered him to land the helicopter in a corn farm, which he did, thus saving the helicopter and the crew.
