Those (the authorities) in Ghana cannot sit there and tell the embassy (the High Commission) here in the UK what to charge for the services - they don't know how much things cost here. The National Identification Authority (NIA) is a statutory body established by the National Identification Authority Act, 2006 (Act 707), to create, maintain, provide and promote the use of national identity cards commonly known as Ghana Cards for the advancement of economic, political and social activities in Ghana.

In 2008,NIA began to produce cards. Was the late JEA Mills president in 2008?You can go to NIA website and check the info. posted above.

The announcement mentions that applicants should first go on line to fill forms, but decided not to supply the address where applicants can obtain the forms from!
