Some members of the NPP who are even medical doctors clearly retorted they would not stop galamsey today, neither shall they do that in the future. Arena Osei-Asare was glued to her seat in the MOF. What was her contribution to the debate by then? Does such an individual qualify to pronounce on efforts currently underway to stop the menace? She superintended over an economy downgraded to junk state. Funds were misapplied, looted or diverted, our debt to GDP ratio was unsustainable. Almost all the sectors were under critical life-saving support. What is she trying to say? At any rate, Ghanaweb should define what 'slam' means.

Call it what you may, but at least this government has an approach to the fight against galamsey, unlike your NPP government that not only had its officials actively engaged in galamsey but the party also benefitted immensely from galamsey proceeds, and accounts for why the NPP was reluctant to mount any fight against galamsey in the eight years that it spent in government looting and lying.

Despite all the many advance warnings of the damage it would do, he closed his ears and brought in L I 2462 in 2022 to allow illiterate thieves like Wontumi to mine in Forest Reserves with excavators, poisoning our land and farms with mercury, and polluting our rivers and water bodies.

They created an environmental catastrophe that is today reflected in destroyed cocoa farms, 200 year old trees recklessly cut down, milo coloured rivers all done to satisfy the greed of illiterates in his government and party.

Ordinary Ghanaians are in hospital today with all sorts of diseases and permanent health problems, directly caused by the completely corrupt administration. They did not care about Ghana for even one second. Evil was at work under the NPP.
