Personally, it's early days yet to shower praises on Ato Forson, he or they have 4 years mandate and I think they will be judged at the end of the term. I'm saying this because similar thing happened in 2017 by Ken Ofori-Atta ...

Personally, it's early days yet to shower praises on Ato Forson, he or they have 4 years mandate and I think they will be judged at the end of the term. I'm saying this because similar thing happened in 2017 by Ken Ofori-Atta, now being insulted, wanted and wished for his death. The speed at which Ghana came out of IMF conditionalities, the cedi was adjudged the best performing currency, inflation dropped from 57% to about 17% etc. So let's not behave as if Ato Forson's performance is unprecedented, no, predecessors have done it before but at the end of it all we called for their heads. Let's hope it's sustained beyond 2027/8 then we will be in right perspective on the economy. Ghana's economy is like travelling by a bicycle, you get down and push the bicycle to climb up a hill, on top of the hill, you sit on bicycle to descend without hassle. Now the minister is descending a hill and we shall see how he's going to climb the hill ahead of him. No gov't has been able to sustain the successes it gained in its early years and continued till its full term. From J. J. Rawlings, Kuffour, Attah Mills/JDM, JDM himself and then Nana Akufo Addo. All these started well but getting to the end of their term, the economy started 'misbehaving', not controllable no matter what strategy is employed. So I'm not enthused about what's happening now as it's not new to me.
