  The government should disregard the suggestion of this security analyst and move forward with its crackdown on those in possession of unregistered guns. The government is not going after all persons who own guns, it's only going after those persons in possession of unregistered guns. And there's no doubt that criminals who use guns in their commissions of crimes of do not care to have their guns registered, for obvious reasons. Most people who own unregistered guns may not be criminals, but they're breaking the law that requires all guns to be registered. Persons desirous of owning guns for self-protection can easily do so by registering their guns as the law requires.
