However, I wish to state that many of our citizens are losing their lives because of an illegality ( galamsey activities ). First , it was the handsome Major Maxwell Mahama, then GZ Helicopter crash of August 2025 claiming 8 illustrious and handsome Ghanaians. Ahhhh, then a family and Ghana lost Mr Gyamfi again still in the same fight? Don't let pedestrian people overwhelm you. It pains, ooo.

How many innocent lives do we have to sacrifice in our quest to fight galamsey ? If the Government has declared galamsey a national emergency and allow our aloof military forces to fight this canker , we would not have come to this point. Galamsey must be seen as an internal war on our forest, water bodies and the environment and should be fought like war because these operators of galamsey are armed men and the only way to fight them is through confrontation. Our forefathers who mined gold did not cause any environmental havoc like what is happening today and it must be stopped.
