  So apparently the new national strategy is: if someone misuses a tool, ban the tool. Brilliant. Truly groundbreaking governance. Next time there’s a stabbing, I guess caterers, farmers, and butchers will have to season their meat with… a pen. Because knives will be outlawed for the greater good.
  
  And now, because some people use excavators for galamsey, the government’s master plan is to basically ban excavators altogether. Road contractors? Tough luck—go dig with your bare hands, or maybe borrow that magic pen everyone’s supposed to use instead of a knife.
  
  Is there seriously no one in government capable of saying, “Hey, maybe we could just regulate excavators instead of acting like they’re weapons of mass destruction?” We have trackers. We have police barriers. We have permits. But no—apparently the solution is to make everything harder for the people actually doing legitimate work.
  
  It’s the kind of policy that only makes sense if you assume your supporters won’t ask questions—and, sadly, that seems to be the plan.
  
  Honestly, at this point, the “resetters” may need a reset themselves.

  The explanation seemed reasonable until the Majority Leader referred to the Chinese as “brothers” and “sisters”. Chinese are not brothers and sisters, period. They are in Ghana to exploit the system.

  There is no need to stop the import of excavators, we need excavators in the country for other projects. Why is the president finding a ban on GALAMSEY difficult? Until dato the poor GALAMSEY workers arrested are still in court or deported to their various states, but the owners of GALAMSEY are walking freely around, why? Although I am a member of one of these two political parties (NDC and NPP), I personally think that they are playing with our brains. There is no security in Ghana, no one is saved except politicians. Let’s wake up and confront the truth! We are tired of these bla bla blas! It started since 2000 till date, why?

Although we are not in the galamsey areas we are indirectly affected. The foodstuffs we are using and the water we drink are all affected. Lord have mercy upon us. We should be careful about the influx of these Chinese national in Ghana.
