The company Bararu DV has already laid off 165 of its workers at Ewoyaa.
They can all re-apply to join the company again when the Govt agrees to the reduction of royalties from 10% to 5%.They are not joking.
So since when did the NDC get to know that 10% royalty was unlawful? So this is how they're now presenting their argument? I thought they said they agreed to scale down to 5% because of the current price of the commodity..... ...

So, how much equity for Ghana is prescribed in our laws. Equity is the ownership stake in a joint venture and that is even more important than royalties.
