Just remove the stealing levies you impose on Ghanaians so people won't be forced to avoid using Ghana ports to import their products. Is Togo not functioning with their normal duties at their ports?
Absolutely, just imagine duty alone amounting to Ghc1. 9.How will you make any profit and pay workers well.
If they want to avoid duty, should should partner with the producers to produce it in Ghana for them to distribute.

Maybe the custom offiers were not adequately sorted out. Custom officers are so corrupt. They become so rich few years after they are employed and drive expensive cars
The cost of duty is killing and does encourage smuggling.
I personally thung double taxation is not the way forward. We should make import duties a bit cheaper and reasonable and the rather tax the item when it is operational. This will aid the revenue generation to grow bigger.
