I think this idea of removing public officers from office is gradually becoming a custom within our governance system. It was a big mistake in my opinion removing the former IGP (Dampare) from office. During his reign, policing in the county saw a significant face-lift, until there was a change of government and some individuals started sending frivolous petitions and that got him removed from office.
Now they want to turn the heat on the special prosecutor and the EC chair. On the part of the SP, not getting quick results doesn't mean someone is incompetent. Martin Kpebu did indicate that he went to the offices of all the security agencies and they said the SP didn't come to them. Mr. Martin Kpebu, what were you expecting to hear? That the SP came to them and they didn't support him? Certainly you were never going to hear that as that could put their jobs on the line.
So I think we need to give officers enough time to deliver and stop looking for quick results.

Dear Mr President,
May I respectfully draw your attention to the rip-off of of our hard earned monies by various on-line lottery agents with the active and willing connivance of the Gaming Commission.I do not wish to name any of these agents for now but their adverts and promos run on all FM. and TV stations promising millions of cedis to lucky potential winners by just dialing their short codes and entering one's preferred numbers with of course the cash amount one whiches to wager.

Now,here is how they rip-off innocent players of their hard earned cash.The closing time for the draws are usually 6am,12am and 6pm Mondays to Saturdays and one has the option of sticking the same ahead of the above times of the drws on any day preferred but always before the draw time.About an hour or so after the closing time,the "winning" numbers are then communicated to wagers via text messages. Now here is how the big scam takes place.All numbers that were wagered are entered into the computers of these Lottery agents and by using a coding language such as Python,all the entered numbers are sorted out,leaving the remaining sequence of numbers that were not betted by wagers.These remaining sequence of numbers that were not wagered are the ones that are then announced and communicated via text as the winning numbers.This sorting out by a computer program takes only seconds.This is unfair and unsporting.Mr President.These agents and the Gaming Commission are insulting our collective intelligence.A Gaming commission which is supposed to insure fare play and sportsmanship is aiding and benefiting from one team cheating another team.

Mr President,we are not fooled if once in a while,a few people are announced as winners including jackpot amounts.Fair play requires that the agents should not receive and see wagers ahead of the draw time on their computers.This system is open to manipulation behind closed doors.There is no transparency in this process.By contrast to this online game betting,the old lotto manual method is fairer and credible since any one who wishes to bet simply has to walk to a lotto agent and stick his preferred numbers which remain with the agent on the field and the sticker until 6pm closing time when the agent rushes to take all numbers sticked to a sub office at the same time all over the country without it being possible for the national Lottery Authority to know all the numbers that were sticked ahead of the announcement of the winning numbers that are drawn at 7pm on national television.

Mr President,please immediately cause to be arrested and prosecuted all the crooks involved in this rip-off and immediately reform and reset the Gaming commission.In my simple yet not so stupid mind,one simple way of ensuring fair play is for these on-line agents to lockup what they have as their winning numbers at an open and designated place like Makola or Kaneshie market for example with the day's or days' winning numbers hours before the draw entered in a box where any passers-by can see the numbers placed in the transparent box without the the figures displaced.Then at the exact time of the draw,the box is then opened for all to see and additionally shown live on TV.The continuation of this current process is unacceptable and criminal.

Mr President,we are calling on your good self and your desire to fight corruption and your reset agenda now to halt the thievery.They now and presently!!!

The articles in the constitution which allows everybody to petition the President to remove an appointed official from his/her post must be replaced by a better one. I am saying that because from what we deduced from the committee on the removal of the Chief Justice recently, any reason for the petition could be upheld and used by a biased person or committee against the accused. This means that every person with hidden agenda or grievances against any government appointed officer. By this we are not developing independent strong institutions to support the democratic dispensation Ghana has adopted.
There are procedures for internal dispute resolution. This should take priority over petitions to the president, who will always act in the interest of his political party. This does not augur well with the national unity and progress in democracy.
