Are you suggesting that everyone should go back to his hometown and work? The point is that you're posted to where your services are needed and not where you want to go. Gov't can't use taxpayers money to train you and you now want to choose where you want to work. Those places they don't want to go, are the people there not human beings and Ghanaians? Are there not other workers there? Are these doctors saying they're better than those living there? I think the minister should take a decisive action on all those who fail to report. If they were trained with taxpayers money and they're refusing postings to those regions, they should be made to refund the money and banned from ever working in the public sector. We can't continue to tolerate this nonsense. Teachers are posted to villages to teach, nurses to clinics in remote areas, why are these doctors thinking they're some special people who must be treated with kidgloves. The Cuban doctors are there.

I urge you all to go to Kwahu and count the number of properties developed by the government there….it’s next to nothing! Those Kwahu people are so proud of their Kwahuland that they start building homes there even when they rent homes in Accra.
