How is this different from what Kwame A-Plus said? We in Ghana want to practice the democracy of the western countries when we don't have what it takes to practice that democracy. So why can't we also practice democracy on our own levels and instead copy blindly what the west is doing? Does Democracy only have to mean having elections every 4 years? Even in Africa, Paul Kagame has been in position since their genocide, but now every body seems to agree that Rwanda is doing much better than most African countries having 4-year election cycles. Let's think about this. Perhaps if we have practiced our own level of democracy, we wouldn't have been going to the IMF for the umpteenth times you alluded to.
