It is only some foolish useless and nonsense policies Ahmed Jinapor with arrogance is implementing everyday at the GTEC overther as though that institution is a family inheritance. How on earth can a reasonable human being notify universities both public and private that effective immediately no Univesity in Ghana should admit more than five percent ( 5%) of Mature Students in their yearly enrolments and any univesity that go contrary to that directive would be sanctioned and have its Accreditation withdrawn? What kind of crass incompetent and insensitive policy is that? Did Ahmed Jinapor know how especially Private Universities in Ghana survive in terms of enrolment? Did Ahmed Jinapor know the number of professionals and other employees especially Private universities engage and through which such employees earn their living to cater for their dependants. Is Ahmed Jinapor at all reasonable and intellectually sound when initiating those obnoxious policies. He should visit all private universities in Ghana and find our how those universities are surviving if it is not because of Mature Students admission. Is it he Ahmed Jinapor scheme to collapse all or most of the private universities in Ghana? Who is miseducating him not to properly assess the very positive impacts, Mature Students who have graduated from the various universities are making towards national development. Most of these Mature Students have had substantial work experiences in life. Some work at the Ministeries, Departments and Agencies. Some are private business personalities who have made major inroads in as much as National Development is concerned. Mature Entrance rout to the various universities to help the acquire university degree could only give them a complete package to help more contribute their quota to National Development. Why has Ahmed Jinapor at this time of value addition to one's life, Jinapor decided through that myopic and backward -looking policy decided to give the said directive that: from now onwards no university in Ghana can admit more than 5% five percent of Mature Students in their yearly admissions and any university which goes against the said GTEC directive would have its Accreditation withdrawn? How? Are you there to collapse especially Private universities in Ghana and further occasion and escalate the unemployment situation? Nonsense!
