When did you last hear of your Foreign Minuster doing this. Murdet investigations in even efficient jurisdictions like UK, US takes months to assemble evidence.

Best practise is for the designated Ambassador to that country to follow the case and to make its comments and recommndations at the end of the investigations.

But going there for 1 day what does he hope to achieve or assist in the investigation. A foreign Minister travelling will cost not less than $10,000 in business class tickets, hoteks, per diems abd assistants accompanying him. Is this tge best way to use taxpayers money for what purpose. Just to speak to a Junior CID Officer from Latvia responsible for the case?
