Please understand the geo-politics of this matter. This invasion was not an attempt to rescue Venezuela from a drug dealing Pres. Maduro. But rather, an attempt to blindly defraud/rob Venezuela of the proceeds from their resources.

Venezuela has a population of about 33 million, the largest oil reserves, AND the largest gold reserves in S. America. It has some other minerals, cocoa and beautiful beaches suited for tourism. Before Maduro Chevron and other AMERICAN companies were involved in the oil business in Venezuela. After Maduro I believe most of their contracts were cancelled, some of these oil executives were illegally jailed and some later released. Venezuela Subsequently aligned itself with Russia. The US in-turn imposed sanctions/oil embargo on Venezuela that limited how much oil they can put on the market, thereby causing hardship.

Fast forward to Trump's obsession with earth minerals, Canada, and Greenland. ask yourself, why would Maduro himself engage in Drug trafficking if he has all these minerals at his disposal. I think Trumps Accusing Venezuela of drug trafficking is a hoax, and a pretext to justify invasion to get a foot-hold in Venezuela, so he can send these oil companies back to Venezuela for a kick-back.

Even those countries that are encouraging and arming the breakaway rebels to secede, officially recognize Taiwan as a region of the One China policy.
