    I remember when Yekini wept after his goal against Ghana in 1992 Afcon in Senegal was equalised by Abedi Pele and Prince Polley scored the winning goal for Ghana.

    Not true. Yekini didn't score in the 1992 Afcon semi final match with Nigeria. It was their young midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju, that headed the opening goal. Abedi equalised 1-1 and Prince Polly scored the wining goal 2-1 it end ...

    Yekini was a great footballer; I remember those days in secondary when we're told Yekini was a Ghanaian and his father from Denu in the Volta region.
