No woman from Makola Women traders, no farmer from any farmers group, no member from the GPRTU, no member from organized labour, no member from importers and exporters, no member from the miners not to talk about small scale miners etc,etc. Apart from BIG ENGLISH and FAT SITTING ALOWANCES IN COSTLY HOTELS what will come from these so called experts? Or a planned strategy to shift blame in the event the EMT fails? An unnecesssary duplication at best. Ghanaians must watch out, yesterday it was CSO, THE CLERGY and today EXPERT ECONOMIST.

He invested all his money in other African countries, including Nigeria and South Africa. He needed the intervention of the Ghana foreign ministry of Ghana to salvage his investments in Nigeria recently. How do you need someone like that to build an economy he was running away from??

You don't need a group of wise elders. Ghana should have had the same living standard as Sweden. It will actually happen by itself if you:

1) Stop the theft. Even if the NPP was worse, the current administration is unfortunately also corrupt from bottom to top. The economy goes nowhere until the steal stops.

2) Encourage exports. In 1980, Nigeria and South Korea had the same living standard. South Korea has become rich by exporting. If you want to export, the cedi must be cheaper.

3) Trade is free wealth. We all get better off with trade, both import and export, but our harbours are almost blocked by corruption. Get the thieves out, implement systems that make it harder to steal and/or obstruct the flow of goods.
