Holding it during the off season will make it difficult for African professional players in the big leagues, they won't get the chance for a rest when the foreign leagues resume afterwards. The CAF can arrange with FIFA to call for a break worldwide or at best other zones or continental groupings organise their competitions at the same time. In the latter case all professional players will return home to participate in their continents competitions.
