Upon his defeat and defeat during the Battle of Feyiase, the stool was captured and taken to Kwaman ( present day Kumasi) by the victorious Asante forces. No stool was ever commanded from any sky by Okomfo Anokye.

It was stolen from the Denkyiras after Ntim Gyakari who happened to be the son of Osei Tutu was killed at Feyiase when he was coming to visit his father at Kwaman. It was in the custody of Okomfo Anokye until that faithful Friday when he assembled all the Chiefs of Asante Kingdom and showed and presented it to them. The truth is always the truth. We should not hide our history from our children.
