Star is not the only OMC in Ghana giving good value to Ghanaians. They just like talking plenty. Why do they often sell higher than the price floor if they can go lower. Talk is cheap.

One of the most corrupt industry is petroleum and I am not surprised at what you are saying. Multi national companies who are cashing us from their open credit system. They sell at plat plus premium with additional build up cost making is difficult for OMC to sell at reasonable cost. Even when you import your own fuel, they threaten you in several ways not to sell below their benchmark rate. These draconian multi national companies are in bed with politically corrupt office holders who some of them have our laws entrusted in their hands using it to benefit these vampire multi national companies so that they can get their personal monies and money to win political campaigns. A system they enjoy just for minority and for many to be suppressed and die. These men are traitors of our survival and if we can understand what they do in thr darkness we can one day flush them out of our lives. We must pray for the ones who work for our benefit and do whatever we can to stand for them when the need arise. Star oil have change the face of pricing and the current president establishing TOR to work again gives confidence to Ghanaians and we must support their vision because the benefit is not discriminatory

I know the operational costs of most of some of these OMCs is very high. GOIL, Total, Shell and others may have a whole number of positions in their employment scheme which do take a lot of their margin for instance there may be MD, dep. MD, chief accountant, dep. chief accountant, principal accountant, estate officer and a deputy and so on. So many positions which unnecessary add to cost. But most ot the small and individually owned OMC do not have all these positions in their setups and so could afford to reduce their prices. The big ones can learn from the small ones.
