If Ghana's tertiary institutions and applicable government agencies have had foresight and forethought, somewhere in Ghana there could be a listing of all Ghanaians with PhD credentials and links to those who entered private employment, those who became true entrepreneurs and those who went into civil or public service and became politicians.

It is my hypothesis that 92 percent of Ghanaians with post graduate credentials and claim to be "businessmen" got their very startup funding via government or worked through political employment opportunities to amass their wealth.

It is, therefore, empty or hollow to imply that Dr. Hamid could have been different because of his Muslim background. Religion has never been the moral compass for any successful Ghanaian with very few exceptions, possibly 0.02 percent.

As Ghanaians, we fell on our moral sword when the events of February 24th 1966 took place. Should in case we have forgotten, the desire of the leaders of that time and deferred political party of the time was none other than NPP of old under brand names like matemeho, dumbo, Busia-Danquah etc which eventually shaped the moral compass of today's Ghana.

We become delusional Ghanaian lacking true analytical skills if we do not understand the "property seeking" democracy ideas and ideals of the NPP that is now the mainstay in every region of Ghana that drove Ghanaians between 45 to 70 years. It is the ideas and ideals of the NPP that has destroyed and debased knowledge and intellect at the university/ tertiary levels. Majority of professors/lecturers award grades to their students based on political party affiliation with a few hell bent of abusing female students via sex for grade schemes.

The moral decadence of majority educated Ghanaian women started with grade acquisition from secondary school through tertiary institutions to the top of politics. The morally bankrupt boys that flaunted their political muscle at the university levels became political brokers and king makers of today.
