His unwise, counter-productive and ill-considered initiative of introducing an exclusive dedicated TV service for Parliament has largely served to further undermine the required respect that Parliament so badly needs. Having thus badly exposed itself, the ongoing shenanigans in Parliament has further tilted public opinion against itself. No doubt, Speaker Bagbin himself is a nice man with good intentions but his greatest weakness, leading to some of his shortcomings, is that, he has stayed so long in that institution that he has become inured to the disorder, the irritating acts of indiscipline and the often chaotic confrontations that require a necessary reset.

They are achieving this stated objective by the appointment of an Accra elite, who knows nothing about cocoa. To display he is an Accra eleit, he visited cocoa with his sfot chair in cross country vehicle.

Oh, how happy I am that all of my family's cocoa farmers are gone. None of my family members nor descendants will ever have to go to the farms at dawn to carry cocoa before they go to school only for the Accra elites to reap the benefits of our labour.

Why is cocoa clinic built in Accra and not the cocoa producing areas? Are you seeing what we are seeing? Why is cocoa processing built in Accra? Cocoa farmers pay the highest tax in Ghana but do not have pension but the Accra elites get the highest pay and pension in the cocoa industry. Cocoa farmers and their children too need high paid jobs and pensions.

And to those in gold producing areas, don't allow the Accra elites destroy your lad through gala but build gold processing plants in Accra / Tema for the Accra elites. Are you seeing what we are seeing?

Subsidise petrol to make it cost less, this will drive down prices and encourage alot and alot job creation, more consumer spend for you to make your money back through taxation.

Afenyo-Markin and his followers can’t decide for government what should be done. I keep wondering why he has chosen to mislead the once vibrant party into towing his way instead of national interests.
The NPP must sit up and look at its parliamentary leadership. There seems to be a sort of arrogance being the order of the day by all who sit in the frontline seats. Sad to say, the only woman among them is also towing that way by making false claims.
