I have lived at Koforidua before and one of my lady friends put up her house in the Bed of a stream that separates Asokore from Effiduase. This was not done overnight. Many Politicians and Police officers travelled along the road and did nothing about it. She became a very strong NPP and the Children became very strong NDC so nothing could be done about it. Thank God there was a heavy downpour of rains for hours and the running water in the Bed of the stream washed her whole house away. She was my friend but I liked what the running water did. Ghanaians sometimes behave like they live in the Stone Age. We sometimes just behave stupid. Those who set up businesses and houses should not be given any time to take away their businesses. The District Officers responsible for such areas just need to be dismissed. They could not have done that during the AFRC and Nkrumah’s CPP days. Nkrumah would have taken them to Nsawam and Efo would have taken them to Gondar Barracks or Michel Military Camp for Military Discipline.
