It's the killing of Kutu Acheampong that saddens me. He didn't have any properties around the country. He built Dansoman Nungua and Kwadaso estates and never took one flat for himself. At the time of his execution, his bank accounts had only his salary in it. When his wife (Faustina) went to London after the execution she went to live in council flats. Meaning Acheampong did steal to buy a house outside the country. So why did Rawlings' execute him? Pressure from some evil elements. My late father told me the world bank had a hand in it because Acheampong snubbed them and also directed that Ghana gains 53 good percent of our mineral and natural resources. So if after his death NO leaders has not been able to achieve that, then it means those after him took bribes to bring it down to a disgraceful 3 percent. It was even 1.5 before that. Meaning Rawlings, Kufuor, etc have been bribed for 47 good years!!!

Subsidise petrol to make it cost less, this will drive down prices and encourage alot and alot job creation, more consumer spend for you to make your money back through taxation.
Ghanaians will have alot to money to spend.
left to save for projects.
It also strengthens the cedi against the dollar, inflation...so you don't need to artificially pump billions of dollars to create artificial strong cedi. Instead use it to subsidise petrol. Cedi will stabilise naturally.
