I voluntarily gave up my Ghanaian passport close to 40 years ago, have never regretted it and would do so again, if I had one.

Is it really worth its salt to be talked about, insulted over a booklet, which every Nigerian (and other est African nationals) can come to Ghana, pay bribe and get one, then use it to do crime in Europe, America etc?

But all aside, I believe passport issuance is the duty of the Ministry Of Interior not Ministry Foreign Affairs. Most Ghanaians think that passport is for travelling and be issued by 'foreign' affairs ministry.

No, passport is a GENERAL IDENTIFICATION + TRAVEL document.

Why is this a news and why should the whole country be moved including our honorable foreign minister, this is sad. Is our country that cheap and did I vote the minister of foreign affairs in power to throw our sovereignty away, with this I believe we are not safe as a country if our leaders don’t regard us to this extent and make such comments or decisions. Are we talking about signing and passing a law for this LGBTQ if we can lower ourselves to this extent. Is this what we want for our children or young people, that this person walks naked on our streets, falls flat on food in public and we promote that? Our foreign minister has really belittled himself. He needs to apologize to the whole nation otherwise his political career has been ruined. This is very sad, what is our value? I pray our vice president needs to speak.
