Today I attended a PTA meeting at Oyibi presbyterian school and a levy of 80 cedis was proposed by authorities for parents to pay.

They listed the reasons for the 80 cedis Levy and asked for our support.

Trust me, the meer mentioned of that amount nearly brought the whole meeting to an end.

Now guess what, the parents reasons for rejecting the 80 cedis was that, " we are not able to pay 40 cedis per term how much more a double of it"…

We argue back and forth for an hour and I proposed for the school to go for MTN MoMo system to help everyone pay in bits either weekly or monthly rrrrh.... They nearly chewed me up.

Then finally I suggested we take a vote on the issues at stake. Charlie!!!!... I came home with a new name, " Hon Awiee" because; the school decided to reduce the 80 cedis to 70 and 60 cedis for us to vote on.

When it was time for those in support of the 70 cedis to come forward, hmmm I walked to the stage and turned to look at those following me and I was shocked to see my good self standing alone.
Even a parent who was drank whisper to someone that, even my shadow did not follow me to the stage to support the 70 cedis.

Obviously the 60 cedis automatically carried the day. Now back to why I've to make this long write up to make my point. The school has a student population of 400 and majority of the parents can't afford to pay 80 cedis to help the school take care of the students hygiene needs and one or few people in power will look at God in the sky and tell Him to go to hell and amass all this wealth.

Lord have mercy on us.
